1. What are the hardware and software specifications to use IPMIS Version 3.0.x?

The hardware specifications and overall system specifications for IPMIS are as follows:

1. Computer/processor - Computer with Pentium 133 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor; Pentium III or higher recommended

2. Memory - RAM requirements for IPMIS depend on the operating system used:

  • Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
    24 MB of RAM
  • Microsoft Windows Me, or Microsoft Windows NT
    32 MB of RAM
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
    64 MB of RAM
  • Windows XP Professional
    128 MB of RAM

3. Hard disk - Hard disk space requirements will vary depending on configuration; custom installation choices may require more or less. Listed below is the minimum hard disk requirement for IPMIS:

  • 70 MB of available hard disk space for initial installation
  • 4 - 45 MB of available hard disk space for the IPMIS database

4. Operating system - Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me), Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6 (SP6) or later, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista Business, Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate.

5. Drive - CD-ROM drive

6. Display - Super VGA (800 × 600) or higher-resolution monitor with 256 colors

7. Peripherals Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

2. How much does it cost to use IPMIS Version 3.0.x?

There is no charge to use IPMIS Version 3.0.x. It is freely downloadable Government Off The Shelf (GOTS) Software. “Government off-the-shelf” (GOTS) application software is defined as software developed for a government agency with funding and specification from the agency that is made available to other government agencies. GOTS includes technology/system transfers from other government agencies.
