IPMIS Version 3.0.6 CD-ROM - Updated February 1, 2010!

ISO Image Instructions

The IPMIS Version 3.0.6 is available as a downloadable CD-ROM ISO Image. An ISO image (.iso) is a disk image of an ISO 9660 file system. ISO 9660 is an international standard originally devised for storing data on CD-ROM. The use of an image file is to write it to a blank CD-R or DVD-R, resulting in an identical copy of the original disc including file name and volume label information. The following instructions are for creating a CD-ROM on a PC running Microsoft Windows.

Creating a CD/DVD from an ISO image

To use this method, you will need a recordable CD/DVD drive. You will also need ISO-compatible disc creation software. Not all disc creation software supports creating discs from ISO files. You may need to verify with the computer and/or software documentation that your software supports disc creation from ISO images.

Most CD-R writing software includes a feature to create a CD from an image file. Below are
instructions for some popular applications:

  1. Download the IPMIS Version 3.0.6 ISO Image as either a Self-extracting Executable - IPMIS306Image.exe (140,660 KB EXE File) or a Compressed (zipped) Folder - IPMIS306Image.zip (140,632 KB ZIP File).
  2. Roxio Easy CD Creator - From the File menu, choose Create CD from image file. Roxio Easy CD Creator assumes the file extension is .CIF so enter the full path and filename, or rename the .ISO file to .CIF.
  3. ISO Recorder (http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com) ISO Recorder is a freeware, third-party add-on for Windows XP that adds image file writing capability. Right-click an image file and choose Copy Image to CD. Note: the filename must end with .ISO. Usage instructions for ISO Recorder are available at http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/HowTo.htm.
  4. Nero Burning ROM - From the File menu, choose Burn image. For more information please see the support FAQs at http://www.nero.com/enu/support.html.
  5. General Instructions for Other Applications - Open your CD creation software. Select the option to create/burn a disc from an ISO. Depending on your software, this may be listed under a toolbar menu or button. You will be prompted to select a file. Browse to and select the ISO file you downloaded. Follow the remaining steps as prompted by your software to create the disc.
